How do I reset my progress?

Go to Settings within the app and tap "Reset Progress." This will clear all your mastered words, practice bank, and statistics. This action cannot be undone.

Can I transfer my progress to a new device?

Progress is currently stored locally on your device and cannot be transferred between devices. We hope to add sync in a future update.

The text-to-speech voice sounds wrong or isn't working

The app uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine. To troubleshoot:

What's the difference between US and British/Australian English?

Some words are spelled differently depending on your region (e.g., "color" vs "colour"). The app lets you choose your locale so you're always practising the correct spelling for your region.

How does the practice bank work?

When you misspell a word, it's added to your practice bank. The app uses spaced repetition to bring those words back at optimal intervals. A word is considered mastered after 3 consecutive correct spellings.

How do custom words work?

Premium users can add their own words. When you add a custom word, it's sent to our server to generate a context sentence — only the word itself is sent, no personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Open the app and go to the upgrade screen. Tap "Restore Purchases" to restore your premium access using the same Apple ID or Google account you originally purchased with.
